    SIGNIFICANCE:The three folds ribbon base and foundation signifies the refuge in the triple Gem and inscription of LAMDON in the face centre the Society conviction in the Buddha, Dharma and the Sanga. The eight parts of the lotus flower signifies unstained by sins and demerits. The purity of great eight fold path. The sacred burning lamp over it. The illumination of wisdom to remove the darkness of ignorance. The stalk of growing leaves flanked on either side means the growth of awareness and knowledge.

Ms Kunzes Dolma and Ms. Tsering Wangmo were among others guest. They all shared their experience in their field and encourage students in the field of Sports.

Principal Message

It is with great pleasure that I am welcoming all viewers to explore and know more about Lamdon School, Leh through our website. Lamdon School is located at Takskithang, behind the famous Leh Palace. It was established in 1973 by Lamdon Social Welfare Society, a charitable organisation. It is affiliated with Central Board of School Education, New Delhi. The main aim and objective of establishing this school was to facilitate with modern scientific education alongwith preserving the unique cultural heritage and language. Moreover, it was aimed to extend support to the children from remote areas and poor section of the society. I am happy to write here that more than 700 student are getting complete free education with boarding facility under sponsorship scheme. I am also happy with the progress has made over the year in academic and all the other co-curricular activities. Many of our students brought laurels to institution. We continuously strive to uphold the heights at where we stand today with whole hearted support from our dynamic and hardworking faculty. Alumni of this school entered into various fields and serving the community. I invite all our former students who have inspirational stories to share with our new students. All the infra-structural facilities developed in the school is with kind and generous support from our well-wishers, supporters and donors. I extend my deepest gratitude and thanks to them. I believe in "Less Publicity and more practical" however it is also my duty to share the information about Lamdon. So, those who are interested in Lamdon School may view our website to know more about our works, achievements and success.
