Principal Message

Dear Students, Teachers, Sponsors and Stakeholders,
Julay from Lamdon!
It is with great pride and excitement that I write this letter of introduction to you as the newly appointed Principal of Lamdon Model Senior Secondary School.  I am honoured to have the opportunity to lead a school with such a rich tradition of education. After serving outside of Ladakh for 15 years with different national and international organisations in diverse countries, I came back to Ladakh with a motive to serve my dear Ladakh and its people through education because education is the best investment for the future of Ladakh. If we have good schools we may not need prisons and number of hospitals. Over the years, I have closely worked with policy makers, educationists and professionals on youth development and education. I believe that my experience would help Lamdon in achieving its goals and continuing the legacy of my predecessors. I would like to briefly share my vision for Lamdon with you.
My vision is a globally competitive and locally relevant, a happy Lamdon School in fulfilling the aspirations of the students and expectations of the sponsors, parents and stakeholders. We are strategically focusing on 6Cs Competence, Confidence, Collaboration, Connection, Compassion and Contributions. Our mission is to ensure that every students becomes an asset for the society, country and the world to address local and global challenges. Besides 3Rs: Reading, Writing and Arithmetic we will be developing 21 st  century skills (innovation, creativity, positive thinking, interpersonal, problem solving, leadership, global awareness, civic literacy, scientific aptitude etc.) in an enabling environment for compassion, peace, and happiness.  Along with the teachers, staff, students and parents I will work hard to continue the rich legacy of Lamdon.     On behalf of students, teachers, society, management, parents and my own behalf I would like to express our deep sense of gratitude and thanks for your limitless kindness and support to Lamdon from time to time. May I humbly request you to please continue your support, we need your support to achieve new milestones. No words can adequately express your kindness and special affection for Lamdon. As your Principal, it is important to me that everyone who steps through our doors-teachers, staff, students, sponsors and parents-are excited to be here!  This attitude enables us to meet the challenges of academic excellence in a positive, fun, and nurturing environment.  My door is always open and I welcome your input.  Please feel free to call or email me to discuss any concerns you might have throughout the school year. I am looking forward to receive your support and encouragement in shaping Lamdon as a 21 st century school.     I look forward to working with you as a team to help each student at Lamdon to meet their goals and fulfil their aspirations. In your service Sincerely,
- Dr Stanzin Dawa Principal
